On 1 July 2002, Tanya Singh got married to Krishan Kumar. Together, they have a daughter named Tishaa Kumar. She passed away at the age of 20 on 18 July 2024 in Germany.

Earlier it was believed that Trishaa died of cancer; however, on 29 November 2024, Tanya posted on Instagram that the real reason for Trishaa’s death was not cancer but a “misdiagnosis” of an autoimmune disease which began when she was 15 and took a vaccination. She also claimed that the medical industry was responsible for her daughter’s death as she and her family were “sucked into the medical trap.”

Acting

Tanya Singh made her debut with the Hindi film ‘Aaja Meri Jaan’ (1992) in which she played the role of ‘Sonu.’ ^[1]India Today

In 1993, she appeared as the caretaker’s daughter in the Hindi film ‘Kanoon.’

Singing

Tanya Singh made her singing debut with the Hindi song ‘Dhadkan’ (1999).

In 2001, she sang the Hindi songs ‘Khanki Hai Chudiyan’ (2001) and ‘Akhiyan Mila Le Soniya’ (2001). Her tracks from her 2014 album “Hosh” attained great recognition. Later, she lent her voice to Hindi songs like ‘Woh Beetey Din’ (2022), ‘Yeh Kaisa Nasha Hai’ (2023), and ‘Jab Jab’ (2023).
