Early Career

When Pooja was in college, she was chosen to be the anchor for Doordarshan’s sport-based talk show. She also anchored the show Page 3 on Zoom TV.

In 2006, she participated in Femina Miss India and was among the top ten finalists. She also won the Miss Beautiful Hair subtitle.

Television

After completing her studies, she started working as a model and walked the ramp during various events. She made her acting debut in 2012 with the TV show Teri Meri Love Stories as Sia Bhel.

She then became the lead in the mythological TV serial Mahabharat (2013) as Draupadi.

Once Mahabharat ended in 2014, she acted in Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai, a comedy series. She then took a break from television for about two and a half years and only made special appearances on serials like Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai in 2014 and Dosti… Yaariyan… Manmarziyan (2015). In 2017, she got the lead role of Mahakali in the popular mythological TV serial Mahakali – Anth hi Aarambh hai which streamed on Colors TV.
